Mount Waverley North PS is a medium-sized Primary School in Mount Waverley, not far from High Street Road or Blackburn Road, with an enrolment of just over 400 students. We have 17 classrooms, LOTE (German)Room, Science & Tech. Facility, Art Room, Information Resource Centre and Hall. We consider ourselves to be the centre of a Learning Community involving students, staff, parents and the local agencies and residents.
We provide a comprehensive, quality education in a caring and positive learning environment which encourages all students to reach their full potential. We are committed to providing the best possible learning environment for all our students. MWNPS ensures an educationally rich Prep-6 program is delivered in each of the Key Learning Areas. We offer programs that promote active learning and we differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all individuals. Our Charter Priorities focus on Literacy and Numeracy, but we are particularly proud of our programs in Information and Communication Technologies (we Mentor other schools!), Student Welfare & Well-Being, Science, Physical Education/Sport and the use of progressively introduced Thinking Skills to better equip our students in becoming more self-responsible for their own learning.
