Our Level 4 program is designed to cater for students entering into their last two years of primary school, (grade 5 and 6). Students entering into Level 4 are offered new and exciting learning experiences which encourage them to develop higher order thinking skills, problem solving skills, organisational skills and a new enthusiasm for learning.
To cater for students in the Middle Years of school, students are provided with learning experiences that are linked to every day experiences, ensuring that learning is meaningful and relevant.
At Mount Waverley North Primary School we offer a new and exciting program that provides students with engaging workshops and instructional teaching groups.
Workshops
Students are provided opportunities to sign up to workshops that interest them, whilst also teaching them set skills and objectives outlined by the state curriculum. Level 4 Teaching Team
The Level 4 teachers work together and with all students in Level 4. Currently we have 4 Home Group teachers who meet in the morning and afternoon with a set class. These times are designed to build social skills and connection with the same group of students. The Home Group teacher takes responsibility over a set group of students and parents receive feedback and reports from this teacher. During the rest of the day the Level 4 teachers work with students from all Level 4 classes, in either workshops or targeted teaching sessions.
