All children participate in an hour long Art Class each week, enabling them to experiment with a range of materials and equipment in the well resourced Art room. Students have their art work displayed around the school throughout the year and also contribute to an annual Art Show. During lunchtime there is the opportunity for children to come in and work independently but with guidance in the art room.

Students’ Art lessons include: drawing, painting, construction, threads and textiles, paper skills, modelling with clay and other materials.These lessons ensure that the five art elements– Line, Shape, Texture, Colour and Space - are developed.

The Visual Art Program encourages students to be creative and use their gifts and talents in new ways. Students are encouraged to express themselves, their ideas, thoughts and experiences in their work to make it relevant and meaningful.
