All Victorian State Government Schools are required to prepare a Strategic Plan which sets out the school's curriculum objectives and priorities for a four-year period. This is one of the main accountability structures between each school and the Government and progress toward stated objectives are reported upon annually.
Toward the end of each Strategic Plan period, the school reviews its performance against the targets set in specific areas - StudentLearning, Student Engagement and Wellbeing and Transition. This process involves a thorough School Self-Assessment and the production of a Review Report to be approved by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Resulting from the review process, areas of opportunity for future development and target setting in the next Strategic Plan become clear.
Our Strategic Plan continues to have Literacy and Numeracy as priorities because we see these aspects of curriculum as "Core Business".
