School Performances

Outstanding, amazing and talented are just some of the words that we can use to describe our school performances! We are so proud of our students and staff for their dedication and enthusiasm to bring Aladdin, Hats Off! and The Enormous Turnip to the stage.

The positive feedback we have received, not just from our parents, carers and families, but from the wider community, has been overwhelming. Performances such as these provide our students with rich, real-life experiences, allowing them to master many skills linked to our academic focus at school – public speaking, drama, music, literacy, as well as personal and social skills including communication, teamwork and resilience to name but a few.

We would like to take this opportunity to formally thank Ashwood High School, Principal Brett Moore and his staff for providing a fantastic venue and for their support. We would also like to thank Tristan and Jess Harper for building sets for all of the plays, as well as Wesley College for their contributions to the sets.

We would like to thank our parents, carers, families and all who came to see the shows. With such great attendance, the students were able to shine in front of a full house both nights.

Lastly, we would like to thank our talented students and fantastic staff team. All students participated fully and with great engagement in the weeks leading up to the performance nights, learning lines, singing songs and acting. The reward gained from being involved in experiences such as this was evident in the students’ motivation and excitement. Our staff worked tirelessly over a number of months with lots of early mornings and late nights to ensure the night was a huge success. It takes a special school community to put on such a successful and engaging event and for that we say thanks!

There will be DVDs of the performances on both nights made available in the coming weeks.
