German

Guten Tag!

At Mount Waverley North Primary School we are proud to teach German as a language and immerse students in German culture through weekly German lessons, delivered by our specialist German teacher.

Each week, students investigate topics ranging from colours and number words, to favourite foods, European geography and cultural celebrations. Many of our students continue with German at secondary school as it is one of the languages offered at Mount Waverley Secondary College.

A typical German class includes listening to a story, singing songs, saying verses, reading aloud or reading along with the listening posts, working on puzzles, bingo, watching Muzzy or Mausi and completing writing tasks.

Computer tasks are integrated into most lessons and can include on-line activities, quizzes or animated stories.

Viel Spaß!
