On Friday, 27th October, 2017, we had the pleasure of celebrating 50 years of education on the Marcus Avenue site, with past students, staff and our past and current communities coming together to mark the wonderful event. The celebration encapsulated 20 years of Mount Waverley North Primary School history on the site, as well as the history of both Syndal North PS and Waverley North PS, the two schools which merged to form our current school. The event was a wonderful opportunity to take a walk down memory lane, with much memorabilia on display. Past students and staff revelled in being able to reflect on days gone by and admire and be proud of the school today. We would like to thank our 50th organising committee for putting on a fantastic day; Mount Waverley Secondary College for supplying catering and the performance of their concert band at the event; Bread Street Bakery for their beautiful scones and danishes donated for the event; and Waverley Historical Society for the care and storage of the time capsule that was opened at the event. At our official ceremony, we were joined by Julia Banks MP, who presented the school with new flags for our three new flagpoles at the front of the school. We thank Julia for her time and presence.
