Mount Waverley North Primary School is at the heart of a vibrant, active and supportive school community, with strong partnerships between students, staff, parents and carers.
Located in the City of Monash in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs, MWNPS is a diverse and growing school community of approximately 540 students from Prep to Year 6, organised across 24 classes. Our families represent a rich range of cultural, linguistic and international backgrounds, contributing to the inclusive and globally minded character of our school.
Our school is supported by a highly skilled and dedicated multidisciplinary staff. Our broad staffing profile includes 4 Principal Class Officers, 4 instructional leadership positions, 24 classroom teaching teams, 6 specialist teachers, English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers, Education Support staff, Multicultural Education Aides, administration staff and facilities and grounds staff.
Our Principal Team consists of the Principal and three Assistant Principals, who work collaboratively to lead the strategic, instructional, wellbeing and operational priorities of the school.
Our broader instructional leadership structure includes Learning Specialists and Leading Teachers, who work alongside the Principal Team and teaching teams to strengthen curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and professional practice. Leadership expertise spans areas including English, mathematics, curriculum, teaching and learning, wellbeing, inclusion and high-ability education.
Students also benefit from a comprehensive specialist program delivered by six specialist teachers, complementing the learning undertaken within their classroom programs.
Our EAL, Education Support and Multicultural Education Aide teams provide additional expertise and targeted support to respond to the learning, language, wellbeing and inclusion needs of our diverse student population.
